Pop surrealism or Lowbrow Art, describes an underground visual art movement that arose in the Los Angeles, California, area in the late 1970s. Lowbrow is a widespread populist art movement based around underground art, graffiti, comix, punk music, pop culture, and other subcultures. Most lowbrow artworks are paintings, but there are also toys, digital art and sculpture. Lowbrow art often has a sense of humor or a hidden meaning. Although looking like cartoons these characters have deep roots to my thoughts on my life, life in general, society, and other random bits of who knows what that spews from my cranium on a day to day basis.
